Associated Certified Coach (ACC) by ICF

What do you think this small badge in the right upper corner of my photo means?

As Coaching is a relatively new and growing profession, we as coaches normally do not have Masters or Bachelors degree as part of Coaching Education to provide evidence of our qualifications (although I do have MBA, but that one is not related to coaching).

If we compare coaching with some well-established professions like lawyers, for example, we do not hold any licenses that could be revoked in case of unethical conduct or incompetence. Coaches do not take any Hippocratic Oaths as physicians do as a commitment to their profession.

At the same time there are so many Coaching schools, Institutions that provide coaching courses. In a way you could take any Fundamental Coaching course (or maybe do not take any at all) and still introduce yourself as Professional Coach, work with clients and charge 500 (!) euro per hour. But how your client will know that your services ensure the high standards?

That is why International Coach Federation (ICF) was established more than 25 years ago to provide that support, guidance and governance to the coaching profession.

That small badge in the corner is my Credential of Associate Certified Coach (ACC) means that I am trained (60+ hours) and experienced (100+ hours) coaches. That I have demonstrated knowledge and emerging proficiency in the application of the ICF Core Competencies, Code of Ethics, and definition of coaching. That I show a commitment to high ethical standards and have demonstrated, through rigorous assessment, professional competence in my work with clients. It is renewable, and my personal objective is to renew is as PCC (500+ hours) till the middle of 2021.

And again when all these credentials are checked it is very important to have the “chemistry click” between coach and coachee. That what I do during my samples sessions.
