I am Entrepreneur, now it is official

Today I have registered my own «eenmanszaak» Company, in English it translates to «one man business», but I would even say «one woman business».

The procedure of open a business in the Netherlands is very simple. I filled out the registration form and made an online appointment at KVK (Dutch Camper of Commerce). The form must be written in Dutch, but the Chamber of Commerce provides English translations of all business registration forms. For the appointment I just need to bring €50 for the registration fee and a valid form of identification – it could be passport, ID, or driven license. The whole process took me 40 minutes: together with the KVK specialist we were checking my business name, the type of business that I registering, and after 40 minutes we shook hands and she congratulated me with the registration of my own company - Kseniya-Coaching.

Why I need it?

Focus of my coaching practice is mostly working with the Corporate Professionals and MBA Alumni who are feeling “stuck” in their professional or even personal life, and who would like to get more clarity what they really want, how to make that change and move forward in their career and life. Since beginning of this year up till today none of my 38 coaching clients asked me if I have KVK number. My coaching fee per session was relatively low vs. the usual fee on the market as my main objective was to meet the requirements of my Certification program – to complete 100 paid coaching hours during one-year program. And I do not think that Dutch Tax Authority office will be even interested in that «income».

Since January 2020 the situation will change: coaching price per session will meet the normal market price, and besides continuing with individual Co-Active coaching I am also launching Team/Relationship Coaching program for startups and small businesses. And for this reason it is necessary to have the official company, registration number, and to pay taxes, of course!
