Who is She?
At one of coaching sample sessions last week I was asked who was She, my ideal client.
My immediate answer was – the one who is very similar to me... the one who tried to be that “Good girl” the world told Her to be maybe since High school... and she was carrying that belief everywhere she could - in her relationships, in her job, in her parenting, etc.
Indeed who is She?
- Most likely She was one of the best performing students in her high school and/or university who got several educational recognitions as "Golden medal", diplomas with honors, etc.
- Most likely She successfully got the jobs in the International companies in her own country or even abroad.
- Most likely She has been always hungry for more learning and might have completed second education or another degree (MBA, PhD, etc).
- Most likely She climbed the corporate career ladder quite successfully and at some point got her Managerial role.
- Most likely She is also combining several other roles trying to be simultaneously a “Good” mother, “Good Wife”, “Good” friend, etc.
- And yes, She loves to be in control of everything in her life and have a profound strategy how it should be, at least She likes to think so .
Good job! Well done! - these words are very familiar for this Good girl... and yet something is missing, something doesn't feel right for Her.
Once in a while she is hearing a very quiet whisper coming somewhere from inside:
- What if this "ladder" is not yours but someone else's?
- What if you are brave enough and could create the life/relationships/family/world that You truly want?
- What if there is a way to discover who you supposed to be before you became who the world told you to be?
I truly believe that at this particular moment when we find ourselves being lost and do not know what to do next, this is a unique opportunity to find ourselves. It also requires courage not to escape from this discomfort, but stay there long enough, do the self-discovery work and create that most beautiful life you could imagine for yourself.
Is something resonate here with you?
